SAMEBIKE RS-A01Men 1.0 Mountain Electric Bike
Take your daily ride to the next level with the SAMEBIKE RS-A01 Men 1.0 a sleek, capable, and user-friendly electric commuter built to weave through city streets, tackle mild hills, and give you the confidence to rely on your bicycle for everyday transport. From its refined design to its robust components, the RS-A01 balances comfort, performance, and style to make your commute more enjoyable.
Design & Aesthetics
The RS-A01 showcases a clean, modern commuter aesthetic. With a choice of colors including Dark Green and Black among others, it carries an understated but confident presence. Its frame geometry is thoughtfully engineered: the top tube is 580 mm, the total length 1,720 mm, and its handlebar height reaches 1,070 mm. The seat height is adjustable between 870 mm and 950 mm, ensuring it can fit a wide range of rider sizes comfortably. Together, these dimensions strike a balance between nimble maneuvering in urban settings and a stable, comfortable posture on longer rides.
Motor, Power & Performance
Under its minimalist exterior, the RS-A01 hides serious commuting capabilities. It is equipped with a smart, silent 250 W motor paired with a torque sensor, delivering more than 55 Nm of torque. This combination ensures smooth pedal assistance that feels natural, responsive, and controllable. The system is fully compliant with European/UK regulations, with default speed settings capped at 25 km/h and motor power meeting legal standards.
Thanks to this setup, the bike maintains electrical assistance even on moderate inclines its rated climbing angle reaches up to 40°, letting you tackle steep roads without breaking a sweat. The torque sensor means the motor responds to your pedaling force, rather than simply kicking in full assistance at all times, which helps make riding feel more like an extension of your effort rather than a jolt of power.
Battery & Range
Powering the RS-A01 is a hidden, removable 36 V, 15 Ah battery offering a nominal 540Wh capacity. On a single charge, you can expect a pure-electric range of up to 55 km (no pedaling) and a pedal-assisted range of up to 110 km — these estimates are based on testing with a 75 kg rider on flat roads. The hidden mounting helps preserve the bike’s clean lines while still allowing convenient removal for indoor charging.
This dual-mode flexibility means it’s well suited for daily commuting, weekend errands, and even longer leisure rides — all without the anxiety of overextending your battery.
Suspension & Ride Comfort
To smooth out uneven surfaces and absorb road shocks, the RS-A01 comes with dual suspension: a front fork suspension and a seat-post suspension. Together, they work to reduce impact on rough asphalt, cobbles, and small bumps, so your ride remains comfortable even through city potholes or broken sidewalks.
Its 27.5″ × 2.1″ all-terrain tires strike a good balance: wide enough to offer cushioning and grip, narrow enough to remain efficient on pavement. These tires help the bike adapt to a variety of surfaces with stability, making it versatile for inner-city streets, cycle tracks, and light paths.
Drivetrain & Brakes
Gear changes are handled via a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain, giving you fine control over cadence whether you’re climbing, cruising, or descending. Shifting is intuitive and smooth, letting you dial in your effort efficiently.
Stopping power comes from mechanical disc brakes. Though simpler in design than hydraulic systems, mechanical disc brakes remain dependable, easier to maintain, and resilient in most conditions. They deliver consistent performance under braking, which is essential for a commuter bike that frequently encounters traffic, intersection stops, and changing conditions.
Lighting, Controls & Features
Integration is at the heart of RS-A01’s design. It comes equipped with front and rear LED lights built into the frame and powered by the main battery so you never have to worry about recharging separate lights. They activate automatically while riding, improving your visibility during dawn, dusk, or night commutes.
The bike also features an ergonomic grip layout and a central LCD display, providing essential ride data speed, battery status, distance, assist mode all right in front of you. Control is intuitive: switching between assist levels and shifting gears is effortless, giving you immediate feedback without distraction.
Capacity, Legality & Safety
This electric commuter can support a payload of up to 150 kg, making it robust enough for a rider plus a modest load of cargo or accessories. It carries CE and UKCA certification and fully complies with EU/UK e-bike regulations for assisted bicycles. It arrives in regulation mode (25 km/h, 250 W motor), keeping it road-legal without additional registration.
For wet-weather performance, the bike meets an IP54 standard for general components, and the motor, battery, and display meet IP64. This offers splash, light rain, and dust resistance for normal riding conditions though heavy downpours should be avoided to prolong battery life and maintain safety.
